Liguria barely makes enough wine to export
Giuseppe Quintarelli Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2018 NO UPC An ode to historic CaliforniaQuintarelli only bottles Amarone in vintages the family judges exceptional; in other years those same dried grapes become Rosso del Bepi instead, so a 2018 Amarone is itself the news. The blend is roughly 55% Corvina and Corvinone with 30% Rondinella and a final 15% of Cabernet, Nebbiolo, Croatina and Sangiovese, dried for months on racks in the ventilated loft above the family's house in Negrar before being crushed in the depths of winter.
