Dress #065: Regency dress in brown Armadillo Antient and ModernThis hand stitched brown Regency dress, straight out of a Jane Austen novel, is made from Ajisai Japanese paper. Hand embroidered lines imitate the seams and folds of the dress. It is stitched onto cold pressed 100% cotton paper. The piece is based on an America dress from ca. 1815, held by the Metropolitan Museum of Art (accession 2009. 300. 943).
